Wireless Medical Device

A leading medical life support device manufacturer turned to CalAmp to wirelessly interface its diagnostic and therapeutic information to healthcare information systems within the hospital environment. CalAmp developed a custom PCA and software that links information between the medical device’s custom serial data and the standard 802.11b wireless protocol. The compact design and tuned power management enabled this company to be the first to wirelessly enable this type of medical device.
