Wireless Network in Police Cars

The City of Pittsburgh Police Department utilizes CalAmp's HotCheck System to access the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania's criminal justice information center via mobile computing devices in City police cars. Officers spend more time in the field because they can look up license plate registrations and criminal warrants on both the state and federal level at any time, and can also send messages to and from police cars and department headquarters.
